The main driver of growth was the <strong>public sector<\/strong>, which expanded by <strong>26% year-on-year<\/strong>, largely due to increased deliveries to healthcare institutions under contracts signed at the end of 2024, the report states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The combined market share of the <strong>10 largest pharmaceutical distributors<\/strong> remained almost unchanged over the year at <strong>just over 81%<\/strong>. The <strong>top three companies<\/strong> also remained the same:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Puls<\/strong> ranked first with revenue of <strong>468.1 billion rubles<\/strong> and a <strong>16.3% market share<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Protek<\/strong> took second place with <strong>449.2 billion rubles<\/strong> and <strong>15.6%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Katren<\/strong> ranked third with <strong>371.9 billion rubles<\/strong> and <strong>12.9%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>top five<\/strong> was completed by <strong>Grand Capital<\/strong> with <strong>218.7 billion rubles<\/strong> and a <strong>7.6% share<\/strong>, and <strong>R-Pharm<\/strong> with <strong>210.4 billion rubles<\/strong> and <strong>7.3%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second half of the ranking includes <strong>Irwin 2<\/strong>, which reported revenue of <strong>169.7 billion rubles<\/strong> and a <strong>5.9% market share<\/strong>. The company recorded the <strong>largest growth in revenue among the top 10 distributors<\/strong>, increasing by <strong>48%<\/strong> in monetary terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Positions <strong>seven through ten<\/strong> were occupied by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BSS<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>133.6 billion rubles<\/strong> (4.7%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pharmkomplekt<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>133.4 billion rubles<\/strong> (4.6%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vita Line<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>103.5 billion rubles<\/strong> (3.6%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pharmimex<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>78.8 billion rubles<\/strong> (2.7%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pharmimex was the <strong>only company in the top 10<\/strong> to record a <strong>decline in revenue in 2025<\/strong>, falling by <strong>4%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supplying pharmacies remains the <strong>core business<\/strong> of leading distributors. As a result, consolidation in this segment is even more pronounced: the <strong>top 10 companies account for 93.1% of the market<\/strong>, compared to <strong>89.5% a year earlier<\/strong>. The leading pharmacy distributor is <strong>Puls<\/strong>, with a <strong>23.7% market share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast, <strong>market concentration in public procurement decreased<\/strong> to <strong>51.7%<\/strong>, down from <strong>54.8% in 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the public sector, consolidation is progressing more slowly due to administrative barriers and the overall inertia of the market. Nevertheless, it is more convenient for the state to work with large suppliers, so the trend toward consolidation among market players continues,\u201d analysts noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among <strong>\u201cclassic\u201d distributors in the public procurement segment<\/strong> (excluding manufacturers that may also win and supply tenders), <strong>Irwin 2<\/strong> ranked first with a <strong>16.9% market share<\/strong>.
