In physical terms, procurement volumes grew <strong>27% year-on-year to 746 million packages<\/strong>. These figures were presented by <strong>Sergey Shulyak, CEO of DSM Group<\/strong>, at the <strong>PharmLiga forum in Moscow<\/strong>, GxP News reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Oncology drugs accounted for about one-third of total public procurement spending.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In monetary terms, government procurement increased across all programs except those implemented by the <strong>\u201cCircle of Kindness\u201d foundation<\/strong>, where spending declined slightly\u2014from <strong>83 billion rubles in 2024 to 80 billion rubles in 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>pharmacy retail sales reached 2.3 trillion rubles in 2025<\/strong>, up <strong>14% year-on-year<\/strong>. According to the expert, the share of imported medicines declined slightly\u2014from <strong>51.2% in 2024 to 49.6% in 2025<\/strong>. In physical terms, however, the share remained almost unchanged at <strong>33.4% and 33.6%<\/strong>, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>total size of the Russian pharmaceutical market<\/strong>, including public and commercial segments as well as parapharmaceutical products, was estimated at <strong>3.3 trillion rubles<\/strong>, compared with <strong>2.6 trillion rubles a year earlier<\/strong>, representing <strong>17% growth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>2026<\/strong>, Shulyak expects <strong>moderate market expansion to around 3.6 trillion rubles<\/strong>, driven mainly by the <strong>parapharmaceutical segment and the commercial market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to the broader retail sector, <strong>online sales are increasing in pharmaceuticals<\/strong>.
