Since February 2024, the State Duma of the Russian Federation has announced 17 auctions for expert and analytical research, the total starting price of which is 95 million rubles. Among them, four – worth 5.2 million rubles, 5.9 million rubles, 5.5 million rubles and about 5 million rubles – relate to the healthcare industry, they noticed Vedomosti.

In the first case, the contractor will have to conduct a study of methods for improving the regulation of the medical supply sector. In particular, it is necessary to explore the possibilities of re-focusing the line of activity from the development and release of generics to innovative original medicines. To do this, the contractor will analyze the competitiveness of the Russian pharmaceutical market, its legal regulation and strengths.

The second purchase involves an analysis of foreign experience in the formation and regulation of the medical tourism market. The description notes that medical tourism in the future may become one of the principles of the development of humanitarian diplomacy. The research topic in the third purchase is improving the regulation of public–private partnerships to increase the availability and quality of medical care. The latter is devoted to the study of methods of reducing the workload in the form of filling out documents from medical workers.

According to a Vedomosti source in the Duma office, the research includes those that were ordered by factions and committees of the lower house. According to him, the cost of such contracts usually decreases significantly after signing a contract with a supplier – by an average of 65%.
